Terror Dome

Jake West had just experienced a life changing event when his girlfriend of three years broke up with him, and he hadn’t had a good night’s sleep since. The story began on a Sunday morning when Jake had awakened in a cold sweat from a very lucid dream where he was walking for miles on end in total desolation. He then decided to go shopping at a nearby grocery store, and that was when he saw his ex-girlfriend with another guy for the first time since the breakup. Opting not to confront them, he continued on with his grocery shopping and purchased only a fraction of the items that he wanted to buy due to the food shortages across the country. When he got to the register, he learned that the store wasn’t accepting cash anymore, so he paid for his items with a debit card.

Jake’s best friend Brian had called him and told him that the guys were meeting up at his other friend Mike’s apartment to watch the NBA playoffs and to buy some beer. He stopped off at the liquor store to buy a case of Budweiser and realized that they weren’t accepting cash either. He subsequently used his debit card to pay for the beer and headed to Mike’s place. Jake and Brian got into a huge argument before the start of the Bulls game with the Pacers, and Jake abruptly left and never spoke to them again. Terror Dome is a free urban science fiction thriller that takes place in the city of Chicago in the not-so-distant future.
